Momiji became a baker at a local bakery during the timeskip while also actively taking on jobs to earn extra money. Over the timeskip her appearance matured a lot and makes her look even more like her late mother Momoe. She is known for her kindness but also feared for her scary temper that would flare when she's being annoyed by someone, this is inherited from her late father Nathaniel, who was also very passionate about the little things he loves but was known not to be tested in certain areas that would trigger him to show a sadistic side that he, albeit unsuccessfully, hoped Momiji wouldn't inherit.

She takes an active role in pinpointing the whereabouts of her former guildmates, thanks to the help of Lucy, her very close friend. She also keeps in contact with her cousin Eve, although not a lot because they were never particuarly close to each other, mainly due to Momiji strongly disliking his antics with women. She hasn't joined another guild after FT disbanded, because she thought that it would betray her loyalty to Makarov, who allowed her in the guild at a young age when her parents were killed.

What is she reading while smiling at it gently? Well, it seems like a certain incident where the words "Fairy Tail" was burned onto a building made it into the newspapers, and Momiji immediately knew just who would be stupid and brave enough to do that; and she also believes that this certain person will be able to reunite them once again, which is why she's smiling at the paper.
